1. VEHICLE USE The Renter agrees to use the vehicle responsibly and only for lawful purposes. The vehicle shall not be used: By any person not authorized by IVANTEC. To carry illegal goods or substances. For racing, competitions, towing, or reckless driving. Under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance. Outside Zambia without prior written authorization from IVANTEC. 2. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS The renter confirms that: They hold a valid driver's license. They are legally permitted to drive in Zambia. All information provided is accurate and complete. 3. SECURITY DEPOSIT A refundable security deposit shall be paid before vehicle collection. The deposit may be partially or fully deducted to cover: Traffic fines. Vehicle damage. Fuel shortages. Cleaning charges. Late return penalties. Missing accessories or documents. 4. VEHICLE CONDITION The renter confirms that the vehicle was received in good condition unless otherwise noted in the inspection section. The renter agrees to return the vehicle in substantially the same condition. 5. DAMAGE AND ACCIDENTS In the event of an accident: The renter must immediately inform IVANTEC. The renter must report the incident to the nearest police station. The renter must cooperate fully with insurance and investigation procedures. The renter remains liable for damage caused by negligence, reckless driving, unauthorized use, or violation of this agreement. 6. INSURANCE Where applicable, the vehicle may be covered by insurance subject to policy limitations. The renter shall remain responsible for: Insurance excess/deductible. Damage resulting from negligence. Damage caused while violating traffic laws. Unauthorized drivers. 7. FUEL POLICY The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as received. Any fuel shortage will be charged at prevailing market rates plus an administrative fee. 8. TRAFFIC OFFENCES The renter is fully responsible for: Speeding fines. Parking fines. Road traffic penalties. Toll violations incurred during the rental period. 9. LATE RETURN Vehicles returned after the agreed time will attract additional charges. IVANTEC reserves the right to charge: Additional daily rental fees. Penalty charges. Recovery costs were necessary. 10. BREAKDOWN AND RECOVERY The renter must immediately notify IVANTEC of any mechanical problem or breakdown. No repairs shall be undertaken without IVANTEC's approval except in emergency situations where authorized. 11. TERMINATION IVANTEC reserves the right to terminate this agreement and repossess the vehicle immediately if: Terms of this agreement are breached. The vehicle is misused. False information was provided. Rental fees remain unpaid. 12. LIABILITY IVANTEC shall not be liable for: Loss of personal belongings. Business interruption. Injury resulting from misuse of the vehicle. Indirect or consequential damages. 13. GOVERNING LAW This agreement shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or the Zambian courts having jurisdiction.
